The first of a campus kind within Adequa’s DCITE strategy, Òdena project was initiated with a clearly differentiating feature within the Catalan market: the ability to offer large-scale land plots, a type of land that is highly scarce and uncommon in Catalonia. From its inception, the project was conceived to accommodate developments requiring true scale, both in terms of surface area and long-term expansion capacity. The ambition of the project is to establish a national benchmark, distinguished by its uniqueness and potential size, capable of hosting large technology campuses that integrate large-format datacenters, specialized training facilities, and complementary developments linked to digital infrastructure. This unique positioning makes Òdena a strategic location for the development of large-scale datacenters, including hyperscale projects and high-capacity facilities. Currently, the project has advanced initiatives under consideration aimed at attracting top-tier datacenter operators, with the ability to develop truly industrial-scale digital infrastructure, aligned with current and future requirements for cloud, HPC, and artificial intelligence. Òdena is therefore emerging as a unique opportunity within the region, both due to the size of the available land plots and its ambition to become a national hub for next-generation digital infrastructure. Adequa is also incorporating other large sites to this strategy in order to develop selective DHUB projects across Spain and Europe.
